Tucked into the busy food scene of Omaha, Bora Bora Juice turned out to be one of the most refreshing places I’ve tried recently. From the second I walked in, the atmosphere was very bright and tropical, making it stand out from a typical fast food place. The menu had a huge selection of drinks and desserts; but the two items that especially caught my eye were the Nutella crepe and the pina colada smoothie.
The Nutella crepe was easily the highlight of my visit. It arrived warm, soft, and perfectly folded with Nutella spread throughout every bite. The outside had a light texture without being too crispy, while the inside melted together with the chocolate flavor. It was sweet without being overwhelming, which made it feel more homemade than overly sugary. The presentation was almost too pretty to eat.
To go with it, I ordered the pina colada smoothie, which balanced the meal perfectly. The smoothie had a smooth, icy texture and a tropical flavor that tasted fresh rather than artificial. The pineapple and coconut blended together well, giving it a refreshing taste that matched the restaurant’s island-inspired vibe. It felt like the kind of drink you would have on vacation rather than in the middle of Omaha.
Overall, Bora Bora Juice is a place I would definitely recommend. Between the rich crepe, the refreshing smoothie, and the fun atmosphere, the visit felt like a small getaway in Omaha.
