There are so many movies to be excited for with the New Year upon us. With January 2024 just around the corner, we can look back on the amazing films 2023 brought us, and anticipate the even better films to come in the new year. Some of the most anticipated movies of 2024 are: Mean Girls, Madame Web, Dune Part Two, Kung Fu Panda 4, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Furisoa: A Mad Max Saga, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Inside Out 2, Despicable Me 4, Deadpool 3, Beetlejuice 2, Transformers One, Joker: Folie à Deux, Venom 3, Wicked Part 1,The Karate, Kid, Mufasa: The Lion King, and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. As you can see, there are many two part movies that will conclude this coming year and many more to start. With that being said, grab your popcorn and take a seat because the film industry isn’t messing around this year.
Kicking off the year is the new twist on the film Mean Girls, featuring Renee Rapp as Regina George, Angourie Rice as Cady Heron, Bebe Wood as Gretchen Wieners, and Avantika as Karen Shetty. This film is highly anticipated by all, considering the original 2004 film is a fan favorite. The new rendition is set to come out January 12, 2024. Next, is Madame Web, set to release on February 14, 2024. This Valentine’s day is going to be one to remember for Marvel fans everywhere as this film will be coded with a dark spin on the spiderverse backstory, and will introduce many new heroes and villains to the MCU. Out next will be the highly anticipated Dune Part Two featuring Timothee Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, and Zendaya as Chani. While the first installment of Dune (2021) was very confusing and lacked plot, the second installment is highly anticipated by fans because, based on the trailer the storyline will hopefully become clearer and leave us with an action packed film. These are just a few of the amazing films that will start our year off on the right foot, with the rest of them taking us on a wild ride through 2025 and setting the film industry up for success in the years to come.
