The holiday season is officially upon us, and that means festive nails are making a comeback once again. We’ve seen countless nail trends appear this year including: barbie-core glitter, metallic on neon, florals, auras, random squiggly lines, airbrush, mermaid/ rain drops, colorful jewels, strawberries & cherries, coquette core, milky white, Hailey Bieber nails, and much more. While some of these nail trends were horrendous, and are not allowed anywhere near my fingers, some weren’t that bad, and have stuck around for the holidays. Starting with the number one most popular nails right now: coquette nails are at their peak. Coquette is the ultimate definition of girly-core with a mix of sultry, old English elegance with lots and lots of bows. This trend first blew up in late summer and fell off during the fall season, however, December has been taken over with all things having to do with bows and coquette. Apart from this, festive, holiday nails are back. Everything from green and red, to gold and silver are highly encouraged this holiday season. If you’re looking for some nail inspo, take it from me, almond shaped nails are all the rage currently and are beautiful when paired with a few designs. Simple details such as snowflakes with a few sparkles and maybe some chrome, or dark cherry red nails, are making quite the appearance this season. Another simple addition to your nail day could be the little cherries that have every teenage girl in a chokehold. First seen on Hailey Bieber’s ring finger, cherries have been a subtle detail that has had quite the impact on nail trends lately. On the other hand, if cherries, bows, and red/ green nails aren’t your style, simple, pearly nails with gold detailing could be something to try. Pearl nails have been most popular for some time now, however adding gold details could be just what you need to elevate your mani this holiday season. Stars are also highly encouraged by Pinterest and Tiktok as this detail has adapted to summer, fall, and winter nails. All in all, if you’re planning on getting some fresh winter acrylics, using these recent trends to curate the perfect holiday nails will prove to be quite effective.
