Finals Week Preparations

With finals quickly approaching, and work piling up, remember to prioritize your well-being and mental health. Make time each day to do something active that you enjoy like walking your dog or playing basketball. Take breaks between studying to get up & stretch & drink plenty of water.

 Some helpful tips when studying:

  •  Write in blue ink which assists your brain with memory retention! 
  • Having classical or instrumental music in the background helps with focus and productivity
  • Avoid cramming – study in small increments each day
  • Use mnemonic devices to remember vocab words or formulas
  • Put your phone in a different room while studying to make the most of your study time & keep focused

Taking care of yourself:

  • Get enough sleep (aim for 8+ hours a night)
  • Take breaks in between studying
  • Prioritize your health (eat well, limit excessive caffeine, move your body)
