An Affordable and Last Minute Holiday Gift Guide
If I’m being honest, I’ve always been a lazy procrastinator. However, this year, it feels like my procrastination has gotten even worse somehow, and now I’m starting to think it’s taken up my whole existance. Do I have a personality beyond taking four hours to do an assignment that should take me 20 minutes? Am I a person with human feelings and emotions or am I just someone who has not bought a single gift with less than a week before Chritsmas? However, this is where my experience as a long time procrastinator and broke person has its perks. In the holiday spirit, I thought I would share some of my favorite cheap and easy gift ideas as a gift to you! That’s the first gift idea.
- An Instagram account.
- Cost: Free
- Amount of effort and or time necessary: Low
- Set up a new account for your friend, your dad, your partner, whoever! They can decide whatever they want to do with it. Maybe they can make an account dedicated to an obscure hobby of theirs. Or maybe they can use it to become a fitness model and join a cool pyramid scheme.
- Sock Puppet
- Cost: Low
- Amount of effort and or time necessary: Low – Average
- Make a sock puppet of them or someone they know or like, or someone they don’t know or like. It doesn’t need to be any specific person! Sock Puppets are very dynamic and have multiple purposes. They will love it for sure.
- Dionne Warwick’s Twitter Password
- Cost: Depends
- Amount of effort and or time necessary: I am gonna say high?
- This would genuinely be one of the best presents anyone could ask for. Personally, I wouldn’t even use it to tweet off of it. A very thoughtful gift, probably my favorite off this list.
- A copy of the Storm Alert: Holiday Edition, Winter 2020
- Cost: Free
- Amount of effort and or time necessary: Low

- Apple Gift Card
- Cost: Depends
- Amount of effort and or time necessary: Low – Average
- A classic gift anyone with an Apple product would be happy to receive. It really shows you kinda care, but not enough that you actually know what they like. A very great gift for when you get your great aunt’s boyfriend for Secret Santa
These are some of my go-to gifts for the holiday season. If you buy/make any of these gifts, the receiver will most definitely love it. Jokes aside, the holiday season isn’t about the gifts and presents. If you can’t get someone a gift, don’t sweat it! You don’t need a tangible object to show someone you care about them!
